Dollar reaches R$3.80, lowest rate in three months

Data announcing that the Brazilian economy ended 2015 with the biggest drop in 25 years has not affected the financial market. The dollar exchange rate plummeted and closed the trading session at the lowest value in three months, R$3.802. At the day minimum, at around 15:30, the dollar was sold at R$3.788.
On a euphoric day, São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa) reached 47,193 points, up 5.12%, the highest level since November 23, last year. Petrobras stocks were the highlight of the day, the most active stocks traded. The common shares rose 12.47% and closed at R$ 9.11. The preferred shares rose 16.28%, reaching R$6.57.
