Brazil's state-run oil giant Petrobras finished talks on the sale of Nova Transportadora do Sudeste (NTS), which operates the company's network of gas pipelines in Brazil's Southeast. The negotiations with a consortium led by Brookfield were reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM) today (Sep. 8).
“After the stages of Petrobras's divestment process are concluded, the final terms and conditions of the operation will be submitted to the statute-regulated agencies of the Company for deliberation. Should they be approved, they will be announced in the market in due time,” a note issued by the firm reads.
The sale comes as part of a divestment program at the oil company.
