Brazilians demand ethics and transparency, says cbank governor
The Brazilian society demands ethical behavior, more transparency, and a sense of responsibility in managing public affairs, Central Bank Governor Ilan Goldfajn said at the opening session of the 3rd Conference on the Law on Corporate Accountability (popularly known as “Lei Empresa Limpa”, literally “Clean Enterprise Act” in Portuguese) held by the Ministry of Transparency, Oversight, and the Comptroller-General (CGU) in Brasília on Wednesday (Nov. 16).
Anti-corruption
The Governor of Brazil's Central Bank pointed out that the Brazilian law on corporate accountability, also known as the Anti-Corruption Act, is one of the instruments that can ensure public funds are dealt with appropriately, while also improving governance at private sector corporations.
