With the auction of the airports of Fortaleza, Salvador, Florianópolis, and Porto Alegre, held this morning (Mar. 16) at the BM&FBovespa, the government is to receive $469.7 milhões  from the minimum bids, an amount to be paid upfront along with the signing of the contract, and ensured the raising of $1.19 billion throughout the concession period.

Germany's Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services won contracts for the airports of Fortaleza ($136.7 million, with a premium of 852.12%), and Porto Alegre ($93.4 million, with a premium of 852.12%). The winner for the airport of Salvador was French Vici Airports, for $212.6 million, and a premium of 113%.

Zurich International Airport AG was the winning bidder in the auction of the airport of Florianópolis, with an offer of $26.8 million, with a premium of 58%.

Government

On his Twitter account, President Michel Temer celebrated the bids, “The auction of the airports of Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Salvador, and Florianópolis were a success. We've restored our credibility in the international scenario

“The premium for the airports totaled [$225 million]. Courtesy of the concession program #PPI, of the General Secretariat of the Presidency,” he added.
