Brazil has created 790 thousand job posts this year
Brazil saw the creation of over 57 thousand registered job posts in October—which brings the country’s total to 790 thousand this year, President Michel Temer wrote on his Twitter page. The president was mentioning figures from the General Register of the Employed and Unemployed (CAGED), released every month by the Ministry of Labor.
According to the president, the data show an accumulated growth of 2.09 percent in employment generation in the first ten months of 2018 compared to the same period last year. The results indicate economic recovery, he argued.
“I was told we created over 57 thousand new formal jobs in October. The amount totals 790 thousand year-to-date—an increase of 2.09 percent. This means that Brazil is on the right track,” Temer wrote.
