Brazil is selling more meat to China, as a permit was granted to another 25 meatpackers. The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply received a statement from the General Administration of Customs China (GACC) this Monday (Sep 9) on the authorization of the plants to export meat to the Asian country.
The move brings the number of licensed plants from 64 to 89. Companies may export immediately.
Of the 25 meatpackers, 17 produce beef, six chicken, one pork, and one donkey.
Talks were conducted by the Brazilian ministry in joint efforts with the Foreign Ministry and Brazil’s embassy in Beijing.
