Gold medalist at the London Games (United Kingdom) in 2012, Sarah Menezes will coach the women's judo team during the Olympic cycle in Paris (France). The announcement was made by the Brazilian Confederation of the modality (CBJ), this Monday (13th). The presentation will take place on Tuesday (14), at the opening of the selective that will define the 2022 national team, in Pindamonhangaba (SP).

Sarah retired from the mats at the end of 2020 after announcing she was pregnant - her daughter, Nina, was born in May of this year. The 31-year-old Piauí native (15 of them in the main selection) and who also competed in the Beijing (China) Olympics in 2008 and in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 will be technical coordinator Andréa Berti, who was responsible for the junior team and he was at the Games in Barcelona (Spain) and Atlanta (United States), in 1992 and 1996, respectively.
