On Wednesday (Aug. 31), Flamengo (Brazil) beat Vélez Sarsfield (Argentina) 4-0 in the semifinals of the Libertadores Cup, at José Amalfitani stadium, in Buenos Aires (Argentina). Forward Pedro scored three times and has become the competition's top scorer with 11 goals.

The return match will take place next Wednesday (Aug. 7), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The Brazilian team can even lose by a three-goal difference and still qualify for their third Libertadores final in four years. The Argentineans need to win by five or more goals in the regular time. If the aggregate score becomes equal, winning by four goals, the decision will be made on penalties.
