With all 26 players selected ahead of the friendly matches against Ghana and Tunisia, coach Tite led a training session in Le Havre, France, on Tuesday (Sep 20). The duels are vital for the Brazilian team, as these are the last games before the start of the World Cup in Qatar, which should have its opening fixture on November 20.

One of the last athletes to join the seleção was striker Pedro, who played in Flamengo’s 2–1 loss to Fluminense in the Brazilian Championship. Flamengo’s number 9 arrived fully convinced that the competition among players seeking a spot in the World Cup is fierce.

“I know that the competition is big, especially in the attack, where everyone is really well prepared. It motivates me even more to know I’m among the players chosen right before the World Cup,” he said.

The Brazilian team will hold another event Wednesday (21), the penultimate before the match against Ghana at Le Havre’s Océane stadium Friday (23). Four days later, the squad return to the field to face Tunisia at the Parc des Princes, in Paris.
