For the third year in a row, the match for the cup of the most important football tournament in South America will only feature teams from Brazil. This is the sixth time in history that the Libertadores final will bring together clubs from the same country—and the fifth time it will be a hundred percent green and yellow, all of which in the 21st century.
Since 2001, Brazil has participated in 16 decisions, with 11 titles. This total already considers the 2022 win, which will be Athletico-PR or Flamengo, teams that face each other Saturday (Oct. 29) at 5 pm Brasília time at the Monumental Stadium in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
