Flamengo and Corinthians seek Brazil Cup title in Maracanã
Flamengo and Corinthians have a meeting scheduled at the Maracanã stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From 21h45 (Brasília time) on Wednesday (19), the teams play the second game of the Brazil Cup decision. After a scoreless draw in the first leg, last week in Itaquera, the trophy will go to the winner, in regulation time or in the penalty shootout (in case of a tie in 90 minutes). Rádio Nacional is broadcasting the match live.
Both Flamengo and Corinthians have won the Brazil Cup on three previous occasions. The Rubro-Negro, as Flamengo is known, took the trophy home in 1990 (against Goiás), in 2006 (against Vasco), and in 2013 (beating Athletico-PR). Corinthians (Timão), on the other hand, was the champion in 1995 (over Gremio), in 2002 (against Brasiliense), and in 2009 (beating Internacional).
