Hours after striker Neymar and full-back Danilo had MRI scans in a Doha hospital this Friday (25), Brazil's team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, announced that the players are out of Brazil's second engagement at the Qatar Cup, next Monday (28) against Switzerland.

"The exams show a lateral ligament injury on Neymar's right ankle, along with a small bone edema, and a medial ligament injury on Danilo's left ankle [...]. We can already anticipate that we will not have the two players for our next game, but they remain in treatment in order to try to recover them in time for this competition," said Lasmar in a video released by CBF.

Neymar suffered a sprained right ankle last Thursday (24) during Brazil's first commitment in Group G of the World Cup. In the same match the full-back Danilo suffered a sprained left ankle.
