Tite chooses Thiago Silva as Brazil's captain for World Cup debut

Coach Tite has chosen defender Thiago Silva as the captain of the Brazilian team in the opening game of the World Cup in Qatar, against Serbia, starting at 4 p.m. (GMT) on Thursday (Nov. 24) at Lusail Stadium. The match is in the first round of Group G of the competition.
As part of Fifa's World Cup ceremony, Tite and Thiago Silva will hold a press conference today (23).
In Brazil´s penultimate training before the debut, coach Tite decided not to open it to the press.
Captain Thiago
38-year-old defender Thiago participated in 109 games of the Brazilian team, many of them as captain, and scored seven goals.
