Brazil’s U-20 squad to fight Uruguay for South American title
After securing their spot in the U-20 World Cup, Brazil drew 0–0 with Colombia at the Estadio Monumental de Techo in Bogotá, Colombia, on Thursday (Feb. 9), as part of the fourth and penultimate round of the final hexagonal of the U-20 South American Football Championship.
The result knocks the Brazilian squad out of the lead of the competition, now occupied by Uruguay, who beat Paraguay 1–0 on Thursday. The Uruguayans reached 12 points, two above Brazil.
But the Brazilians still have a chance to win the championship, as their last opponent in the tournament should be none other than the Uruguayans themselves. The fight for the title will take place at the stadium El Campín, in Bogotá, at 10 pm Brasília time next Sunday (12).
Classification for the World Cup
