Praia Clube wins 1st Brazilian Under-20 Swimming Championship
Praia Clube/MG scored 254 points to win the title of the 1st edition of the Brazilian Under-20 Swimming Championship, which was played at the Paralympic Training Center, in São Paulo, last weekend.

Two athletes who contributed decisively to winning the Minas Gerais team were Samuel de Oliveira, Samuka, from the S5 class (physical-motor impairment), and João Pedro Brutos, from the S14 class (intellectual disability).
Samuka, 17 years old, swam seven events in the Brazilian sub-20 Championship, winning six gold medals (50 meters backstroke, 200 meters medley, 50 meters freestyle, 50 meters butterfly, 200 meters freestyle and 100 meters freestyle) and a bronze (100 meters breaststroke ).
João Pedro, 18 years old, competed in six events in which he won gold (200 meter medley, 100 meter breaststroke, 200 meter freestyle, 100 meter backstroke, 100 meter freestyle and 100 meter butterfly).
Vasco da Gama/RJ, in second place with 215 points, and Associação Esporte +/RS, in third with 204, completed the podium of the Brazilian under-20 swimming championship.
