Conmebol unveils full schedule for Women’s Libertadores
The South American Football Confederation, Conmebol, on Tuesday (Sep. 19) released the full schedule for the women’s edition of the Copa Libertadores. In the competition, to be held in Colombia from October 5–21, Brazil will be represented by Corinthians, Palmeiras, and Internacional.
Palmeiras, the reigning champions of the competition, are in Group A alongside Barcelona de Guayaquil (Ecuador), Caracas (Venezuela), and Atlético Nacional (Colombia). Corinthians, who have just won the Brazilian Championship, are in Group C with Colo-Colo (Chile), Always Ready (Bolivia), and Libertad Limpeño (Paraguay).
Internacional are also representing Brazil in the competition. They are in Group D alongside Boca Juniors (Argentina), América de Cali (Colombia), and Nacional (Uruguay).
The first Brazilian team to play in the Women’s Libertadores is Palmeiras, who face Barcelona on October 5. A day later, Internacional open their campaign against Nacional, and Corinthians should take on Colo-Colo.
