The three points came, but not in the way the fans at Brasília’s Mané Garrincha stadium. Brazil beat Peru 4–0 on Tuesday night to move 16 points clear in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Raphinha scored twice from the penalty spot and Luiz Henrique also scored twice.
With the win, the Brazilian team remain in fourth place in the standings. Peru remain on six points from ten matches, second from the bottom of the table.
Over 60 thousand fans flocked to the stadium to watch the match.
