Brazil’s Cunha wins seventh title at Open Water World Championships
The victory was clinched with a 7th-place finish in Saudi Arabia

Brazil's Ana Marcela Cunha secured her seventh World Open Water Championship title on Friday (Nov. 22) after finishing seventh in the Saudi Arabian leg. With a total of 2,750 points, Cunha surpassed Germany's Lea Boy, who accumulated 2,648 points and also competed in all five stages of the season.
The Tokyo Games 2020 gold medalist had previously won the World Circuit title in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2021, and 2022.
