Shortly after the beginning of the World Cup opening match, Croatia took the lead, with an own goal by defender Marcelo, at 11’. Marcelo tried to intercept a pass from Ollic and missed, kicking the ball into Brazil’s goal. The Croatian team had keep up their leading position over a team who initially seemed nervous.

With a large number of moves and the skills of Neymar and Hulk, Scolari’s team managed to push through the Croatian defense, but short of finishing the maneuver.

At 29 minutes, Neymar received the ball from Oscar and shot to the left of the goal-keeper, leveling for Brazil.

The score kept at 1-1 up to 71’, when Neymar scored a penalty, after forward Fred was fouled. The goal-keeper managed to touch the ball, but was unable to make his defense.

In the last minute, Oscar scored Brazil’s third goal, finishing it off and making it 3-1, Brazil’s first victory in this World Cup.
