Another of the 12 Brazilians targeted by the Federal Police's Operation Hashtag over alleged conspiracy to launch terrorist attacks in Brazil was arrested Friday (Jul. 22). He turned himself in to police officers in the late afternoon in a small town in Mato Grosso that borders on Bolivia. He was the eleventh suspect to be arrested in the case, and will be sent to a federal prison after being heard by the police.

A total 12 temporary detention warrants have been issued for this operation. They are effective for 30 days and may be extended by another 30. Police are still after one last remaining target of the operation that investigates the involvement of Brazilians in planning terrorist attacks inspired by Islamic State.
