Jair Bolsonaro’s health condition reported stable
The health state of presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro was reported stable according to a medical report released today (Sep. 17) by the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, where he has received treatment at the semi-intensive care unit. He does not have a fever, his intestines are recovering and he is being fed exclusively via a nasogastric tube.
Doctors say Bolsonaro is still doing exercise for breathing and muscle strength. Measures are also being taken to prevent deep vein thrombosis.
On Sunday afternoon (16), the candidate was discharged from the intensive care unit (ICU) and was sent for semi-intensive care. He had been in the ICU since last Wednesday (12), when he underwent an emergency surgery to repair an adhesion obstructing his small intestine. Before the complications, the doctors had started to feed Bolsonaro orally.
