Ministries of Economy and Justice sign agreement against piracy

The Ministries of Economy and Justice and the Public Security Department have signed in Brasília a technical cooperation agreement to stimulate the fight against piracy of goods and services, including the commercialization of products sold in electronic commerce.

Both ministries also wish to carry out actions to promote the awareness of the market about damages caused by piracy against intellectual property rights.

The agreement was signed during the second ordinary meeting of the National Council to Combat Piracy in 2022, on Wednesday (April 13). During the meeting, the E-Commerce Good Practices Booklet was launched, which aims to guide e-commerce platforms to promote a reliable environment for the purchase and sale of products over the internet.
