EBC wins agribusiness news award

The public broadcasting company made it to the final in an online vote

News portal Agência Brasil and show Agro Nacional, aired on TV Brasil—both part of Brazil’s public broadcasting network under EBC—were awarded in the second edition of the contest The Most Admired in the Agribusiness Press, held by Jornalistas&Cia. Under the category Digital Channel, TV Brasil’s weekly program Vale Agrícola also received an accolade. The ceremony took place Tuesday afternoon (Jul 5) in São Paulo city.

The celebration honors journalists, news outlets, publications, and specialized programs. This year, over 330 outlets and shows and 200 professionals were nominated across a range of categories. An online vote led to the final top three.

Victors were split into nine categories: Print Outlet, Specialized Outlet, Blog, Digital Channel, Broadcast TV Program, Cable TV Program, Radio Program, Podcast, and News Agency.
