Foreign Ministry confirms death of Brazilian woman in Israel attacks

On Friday (Oct. 13), the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the passing of 42-year-old Brazilian citizen, Karla Stelzer Mendes, in the series of attacks carried out by Hamas in southern Israel starting on October 7. This marks the third confirmed death of a Brazilian national in the Israeli attacks.
In a statement, the ministry expressed its condolences to Mendes’ family and friends and reiterated the Brazilian government's strong stance against all forms of violence targeting civilian populations.
Previously, the Brazilian government had also confirmed the fatalities of Bruna Valeanu and Ranani Nidejelski Glazer, both aged 24.
