“We think it's a very progressive agenda. We're seeking to move out of restrictive, conservative measures. Our contributions are quite comprehensive and reflect the sentiment of the government coalition in helping advance Brazil, Brazilian people, and making overarching public policies,” said Jandira Fhegali, leader of the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB). Leaders of 15 parties in the governing coalition at the Chamber of Deputies have set an agenda with several legislative proposals to help revive the country's development and overcome the crisis. There are 26 proposals categorized into themes.

The proposals include policies to increase competitiveness and productivity, focusing on technology absorption; reducing the cost of credit (e.g. by lowering interest rates) and keeping currency exchange rates at levels that ensure the competitiveness of domestic production; raising the minimum requirements for national-content regulations; and improving incentives for expanding, diversifying, enhancing and integrating internal supply chains.

The plans go on to propose improving anti-corruption laws by listing unjustified enrichment as a crime and making laws against tax evasion severer and more comprehensive.

The labor agenda includes measures to ensure employment, protect workers' rights and secure the purchasing power of workers and pensioners.

José Guimarães of the Workers' Party (PT), the government leader at the Chamber of Deputies, said that the government keenly welcomes the proposal. “It shows that we all care about Brazil. This is not an agenda for A or B, it's an agenda for Brazil,” he said.
