Social movements protest against impeachment and ask for land reform
About 300 members of the National Rural and Urban Struggle Front (FNL)—movement defending the land reform—met this Thursday (Mar. 31) in Brasília. The act marked the start to a mobilization day, entitled National Day of Struggle. Among its agenda, they hold a stance against President Dilma Rousseff's impeachment.
Carrying banners linking the payment of the public debt to social ills, the movement leaders did not want to talk to the press, and recommended the activists for not speaking with reporters.
For the Military Police, the movement reported that they are expecting the arrival of 12 buses with protesters from settlements and rural areas of Distrito Federal and Goiás. The act is related to another protest that will march to the Esplanade of Ministries, coming from Mané Garrincha National Stadium, where dozens of buses will arrive from several states.
