At a news conference, Attorney-General José Eduardo Cardozo admitted that the government may appeal again to the Supreme Court questioning the proceedings conducted by the Chamber of Deputies. Cardozo will aim at targeting lawyer Miguel Reale Júnior's arguments presented on the floor of the Chamber of Deputies, to state the reasons for requesting the president's ouster.

Cardozo said he would request the shorthand notes to analyze the speech. According to Cardozo, Reale Júnior mentioned the Operation Car Wash and 2014 accounting practices, and all this, despite having reinforced that the objects of complaint were limited to the six additional speding decrees and to payments for Plano Safra agricultural plan, considered accounting tricks. "If we understand that any question needs to be immediately appealed, we will make it to the Court," he added.

Cardozo's intention is to avoid charges— not included in the impeachment request—to be mentioned in speeches, party lines announcement, and other demonstrations preceding the vote, scheduled for Sunday, because they could gain grounds and end up inducing the result.
