Lower House Speaker Eduardo Cunha reconsidered the decision announced Wednesday (Apr. 13) on the order to vote on President Dilma Rousseff's impeachment request on Sunday (Apr. 17) session.

Pressured by the government's allies, Cunha announced Thursday (Apr. 14) that Deputies will be alternately called for voting, according to their state, starting with representatives from states of Brazil's North Region.

Therefore, Deputies will be called in the following state order: Roraima, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Amapá, Pará, Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul, Amazonas, Rondônia, Goiás, Distrito Federal, Acre, Tocantins, Mato Grosso, São Paulo, Maranhão, Ceará, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Bahia, Sergipe and Alagoas.

From each state, deputies will be called following the alphabetical order. In the previous decision, Eduardo Cunha had determined that the vote would begin by states from the South Region—where most deputies are in favor of the president's impeachment.
