Bolsonaro expected to be discharged from hospital by Thursday
Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro’s expected date of discharge from hospital has been kept unchanged. He is expected to leave hospital between Wednesday (Jan. 6) and Thursday (7) this week, according to press advisers. Today (4), he is resting, has no engagements, and is receiving a limited amount of visitors.
Bolsonaro, who has been at São Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital for eight days, underwent a new medical evaluation this morning which saw no changes in his condition. He is still using a nasogastric tube to have large amounts of fluid removed.
On Saturday, the president complained of nausea and vomited, which is said to have been expected, as Bolsonaro underwent three major surgeries in just four months.
A tomography performed Sunday (3) showed the president is not facing any complications, and there is no need for another surgery, his advisers reported.
