Deputies approved this Tuesday (14), in the first round, the basic text of the Constitution Amendment Proposal (PEC) 46/21, which contains the unpromulgated sections of the Senate version for the PEC dos Precatórios (PEC 23 /21). During today's vote, 327 parliamentarians voted in favor of the PEC and 147 against.

The PEC 46/21 determines, for 2022, that the application of resources that were saved with the limit established for the payment of court orders be destined exclusively for the areas of social security and for Auxílio Brasil, which will become a permanent program of income transfer.

Other points of divergence, such as the rules that define the limit for payment of court orders, are being voted on separately through highlights presented by the parties.

Changes to the Constitution must be approved in both Houses (Chamber and Senate) in two rounds of voting, so the new passages approved by the Senate depend on a vote in the Chamber.
