Brazil court releases Namibian boxer charged with attempted rape

A Moroccan boxer facing the same charges was also released

Namibia's boxer Jonas Junius, 22, accused of attempting to rape a cleaning lady in the Olympic Village in the beginning of the week, was released this Thursday (Aug. 11) morning ordered by Rio de Janeiro Court, and shall continue attending the competition. 

Junius underwent all the tests, such as weighing and technical procedures for the Olympic Park's match, after he was released.

The Namibian boxer was arrested on Sunday (7). On the following day, Judge Rose Marie Pimentel Martins, from Rio Court, sentenced a temporary detention, after the prison in flagrante.

Another case

Last Friday (5), Moroccan Hassan Saada, another athlete competing in Rio 2016, was also arrested accused of sexually assaulting a cleaning lady in the Olympic Village. Saada was released on Wednesday (10) by order of the Superior Court of Justice.
