Brazil has 27 confirmed cases of Omicron variant

A report published Monday (Dec. 20) by Brazil’s Health Ministry shows that 27 cases of the new Omicron variant of the coronavirus have been found in the country.

The infections were detected in São Paulo (16), Minas Gerais (3), Goiás (4), the Federal District (2), Rio Grande do Sul (1), and Rio de Janeiro (1).

Seven cases have been reported as under investigation in Goiás (2) and Minas Gerais (5).
