Participants in the second stage of the National Examination for the Revalidation of Medical Diplomas Issued by a Foreign Higher Education Institution (Revalida) 2021 can already check where they will take the clinical skills tests on the 18th and 19th of this month. The information is on the registration confirmation card, available on the Revalida System .

In addition to the address of the test location, the document presents the registration number, date and time of the exams. The National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), responsible for the tests, warns that it is important to pay attention to the information, as some cities have more than one application location. Participants will also be divided into two groups, with different entry times for the test, but all following Brasília time.

The card also registers whether the participant must have specialized assistance. Although not mandatory, Inep recommends that the participant take the document on exam days.

The first stage of Revalida, of objective tests, was carried out on September 5th. The second stage is the assessment of clinical skills, when the doctor performs tasks for a panel to examine his abilities for the exercise of the function, during two days of exams. To do so, he travels through ten stations solving tasks such as investigating clinical history, interpreting complementary tests, formulating diagnostic hypotheses, demonstrating medical procedures and advising patients or relatives, among others.

vacancies

For this phase, 7,280 vacancies were made available, distributed among the 22 application cities. They are: Aracaju (SE), Belém (PA), Belo Horizonte (MG), Brasília (DF), Campina Grande (PB), Campo Grande (MS), Curitiba (PR), Fortaleza (CE), Florianópolis (SC) , Goiânia (GO), João Pessoa (PB), Maceió (AL), Manaus (AM), Niterói (RJ), Pelotas (RS), Porto Alegre (RS), Salvador (BA), São Luís (MA), São Paulo (SP), Santa Maria (RS), Teresina (PI) and Uberlândia (MG).

If the participant fails the second stage, he can re-enroll directly in it, for the next two editions of the exam.

The objective of Revalida is to assess the skills, competences and knowledge necessary for professional practice that is adequate to the principles and needs of the Unified Health System (SUS). The exam has been applied by Inep since 2011 to support the revalidation, in Brazil, of the graduation diploma in Medicine issued abroad.

Despite being applied by the autarchy linked to the Ministry of Education, the act of postulating the revalidation of the diploma is an attribution of the public universities that adhere to Revalida.
