Petrobras’s March oil output and refining levels set new record
Petrobras reported on Monday (Apr. 7) a new record in pre-salt oil production and refinement.
Last month, the oil output in the pre-salt layer reached the average of 387 barrels of oil per day (bpd), an increase due mostly to the introduction of a new well, Campo de Sapinhoá, in the Santos Basin, which has a daily extraction capacity of 26 thousand barrels.
Another well contributed to the outcome. It is also connected to the Cidade de São Paulo Platform and was brought into operation in mid-February. Its production levels are the highest in the country, 36 thousand bpd.
The daily output average for Petrobras’s refineries stood at 2.15 million barrels in March. The previous record was 2.14 million, set in July last year.
