Brazil's pre-salt oil and natural gas fields operated by Petrobras produced 1.53 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) in February, 41% up from February 2016, Petrobras reported Tuesday (March 14).

According to the oil company, February's output was 3% down from January this year due to a scheduled shutdown in the “Cidade de Paraty” FPSO in the Lula Nordeste field, and at the end of the trial stage of the Early Production System (EPS) in the Búzios field.

The overall oil and natural gas production in February was 2.82 million boed, with 2.703 million boed produced in Brazil and 113,000 boed produced abroad.
