Banco do Brasil announced this Wednesday (Feb. 9) the launch of a digital account in dollars, exclusively for its individual account holders. The so-called Easy Account was created in partnership with BB Americas Bank.

Easy Account allows customers to make transfers free of charges from their individual checking account at Banco do Brasil directly to their digital dollar account at BB Americas, making international travels or other purposes easier. According to the bank, the service is available to BB account holders who have not been BB Americas customers in the last 12 months.

BB explained that, upon opening an Easy Account, the customer will receive a Visa debit card, which will enable purchases to be made in more than 44 million commercial establishments around the world. Besides that, the customer can also make withdrawals at Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) abroad. The card can also be used in digital platforms such as Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and PayPal.

Through the agreement that BB Americas has with companies Allpoint, Presto, Plus and Star, it is also possible to make free withdrawals with the card at around 40 thousand ATMs in the United States.

The new digital account also offers financial protection insurance for deposits up to $ 250 thousand dollars, no opening fee and no maintenance costs. There is a daily 24-hour service available in call centers in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Easy Account can be opened directly through Banco do Brasil app.
