Brazil is negotiating agreements for the purchase of diesel from Russia, revealed the Minister of Foreign Affairs Carlos França, on Tuesday (Jul. 12). "We need to ensure that there will be enough diesel for Brazilian agribusiness and, of course, for Brazilian drivers," said França during his visit to the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York.

The Brazilian minister explained that the country wants to buy "as much of the raw product as possible" from Russia.

"We depend a lot on fertilizer exports from Russia and Belarus as well. Of course, Russia is a big supplier of oil and gas. You can ask Germany about that. You can ask Europe about that. And the stock of these products in Brazil is small," França said.
