Three Brazilians went well in the qualifying rounds of the Skateboard Street World Championships held in Sharjah, UAE, and secured their spots in the quarterfinals of the competition. This Wednesday (Feb. 1), Marina Gabriela scored 44,05 points to get the 12th position, Pâmela Rosa won 39,94 (19th), and Gabriela Mazetto achieved 36,17 (24th).
In the next stage, the girls will be joined by Rayssa Leal. She was guaranteed a place in the quarterfinals when she became fifth on the world ranking.
The Brazilian with the best performance of the day, Mariana Gabriela talked about the emotions that come with debuting in such an important competition: “I was insecure in my first stunts, but in the end everything worked fine. I got it wrong on the first lap and was afraid I might flub it on the second. But I got the second one right and had a good score. Taking part in the championship has been pretty cool.”
