Six pulled alive from plane wreckage in Colombia
Colombia's civil aviation authority Aerocivil released a list with people who were rescued alive from the plane carrying the Brazilian Chapecoense football team that crashed in the early hours today (Nov. 29) next to Medellín, Colombia.
According to the communication, Alan Ruschel and journalist Rafael Hensel were sent to La Ceja Hospital, goalkeepers Jackson Ragnar Follmann and Danilo Padilha to San Vicente Fundación. Crew members Ximena Suárez and Erwin Tumiri were admitted at Somer Clinic, in the city of Rionegro.
The team was flying to Medellín, where they would hold their first final in the South American football cup against Colômbia's Atlético Nacional, slated for tomorrow night (30).
On Twitter, Colombia President Juan Manuel Santos expressed his grief over the tragedy and said that the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management confirmed there were six survivors.
International news agencies announce that despite having survived the accident, Danilo Padilha succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.
