Mega da Virada lottery prize split into 52 bets

The $78 million prize for Mega Sena’s Mega da Virada lottery had its draw held Monday evening (Dec. 31). The numbers drawn were  05, 10, 12, 18, 25, and 33. The money will be split into 52 correct bets. Each winner is getting $1.5 million.

The prize is said to have surpassed all expectations. Since November 5, when the period for bets started, Mega da Virada sold 70.5 million lottery tickets countrywide—a total of 253 million bets. The amount raised added up to $228.6 million.

Mega Sena has two draws a week. Part of the prize for weekly bets accumulate for Mega Sena da Virada.
