Brazil’s National Public Security Force will act in the Votouro indigenous territory, in Rio Grande do Sul, the country’s southernmost state, in support of the Federal Police.

For 90 days, the military are expected to work on activities and services essential to the preservation of public order, the safety of people, and the protection of property, on an episodic and planned basis, starting this Thursday (Oct 13).
