More than ten heads of state in the World Cup finals

More than ten heads of state will attend the 2014 FIFA World Cup final to see Germany and Argentina face off on Sunday (July 13) 4pm at Maracanã stadium, alongside President Dilma Rousseff and FIFA president Sepp Blatter. At 13 pm, Rousseff will host a luncheon with international authorities. Presidents Jacob Zuma (South Africa), Vladimir Putin (Russia, host of the 2018 World Cup), Denis Sassou Nguesso (Congo), Joseph Kabila (Democratic Republic of Congo), János Áder (Hungary), Michel Martelly (Haiti), and Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, have confirmed attendance.
The heads of state of Gabon, Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda, Equatorial Guinea, and Finland likely attendances pending only a few arrangements. The closing ceremony begins at 2pm at Maracanã, featuring live concerts by such Brazilian artists as Carlinhos Brown, Alexandre Pires and Ivete Sangalo, and Colombian Shakira, Mexican guitarist Carlos Santana, and Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean, besides samba school performances by Acadêmicos do Grande Rio in a tribute to Rio de Janeiro.
In the period between July 12 and 18, Brazil will welcome nearly 30 heads of state, including the leaders of the Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa who are coming for the BRICS summit in Fortaleza, on Tuesday (15). The next day, they will meet with South American presidents. Also visiting is the head of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, who has official appointments in Brasília on July 18.

During the World Cup, Germany chancellor Angela Merkel, the President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, and the vice-president of the United States, Joe Biden, visited Brazil to support their national teams, with some of them taking the opportunity to meet with president Dilma Rousseff.
