After a pronouncement was made by US President Donald Trump on the conflict with Iran, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro reiterated today (Jan. 8) that Brazil advocates world peace and repudiates terrorism. “Our Constitution says here in Article 4 that the Republic of Brazil is governed in its international relations by the following principles: the defense of peace and the repudiation of terrorism,” he said while holding the Brazilian Constitution.

Bolsonaro was live on his social media from his office at the Planalto presidential palace while watching Trump’s pronouncement on TV. “Many believe that Brazil should be silent regarding recent events. I’d just like to add that we must follow our laws; we can’t extrapolate, but I believe that the truth must be part of our everyday lives. We want peace in the world,” he declared.

At the White House, in Washington, on Wednesday, Trump talked about the Iranian attack with ballistic missiles on two US bases in Iraq yesterday (7).
