Brazil receives another 1.1 million doses of Pfizer immunizer
Brazil’s Ministry of Health received on Sunday (Feb. 6) another batch of 1.1 million doses of the immunizer against COVID-19 from Pfizer/BioNTech aimed at the population over 12 years old. The shipment landed at Viracopos Airport, in Campinas, São Paulo state.
On the previous day (Feb. 5), 1.7 million doses of the same Pfizer vaccine had arrived in the country. Between Saturday (Feb. 5) and Tuesday (Feb. 8), about 5.5 million doses shall be delivered for adults and adolescents.
Pediatric doses
The pharmaceutical company Pfizer informed in a note that, this Monday (Feb. 7), another flight coming from Amsterdam shall bring the fifth batch with 1.8 million pediatric doses of ComiRNAty.
Pfizer estimates that approximately 5.4 million pediatric doses shall be made available in February. Each of the three flights expected this month shall bring about 1.8 million doses. More deliveries are expected to arrive at Viracopos Airport, in Campinas, on February 17 and 24.
