Pelé's funeral will be held at Vila Belmiro

Santos informed earlier this Thursday (29) evening that the wake open to the public of Pelé will be held at the Urbano Caldeira Stadium, Vila Belmiro, from 10:00 (Brasília time) next Monday (2).

"The body will follow from Albert Einstein Hospital straight to the stadium in the early hours of Monday (2) and the coffin will be positioned in the center of the lawn," says the club's note. According to Santos, the access to the wake will be made by gates 2 and 3, while the authorities will have access through gate 10.

The ceremony will continue until 10am on Tuesday (3), when the procession will take place through the streets of Santos, passing by Canal 6, where Pelé's mother, Dona Celeste, lives, following to the Memorial Ecumenical Necropolis, for the burial reserved for family members.
