Supreme Court Justice Celso de Mello decided to open an inquiry on the statements made by former Minister of Justice and Public Security Sergio Moro, who resigned from his post and made accusations against President Jair Bolsonaro.
The move, announced Monday (Apr. 27) grants a request filed last week by Prosecutor-General Augusto Aras. One of its first measures will be having Moro testify and hand in any evidence of the alleged interference in the Federal Police.
In his address on Friday (24), Bolsonaro denied he had asked the minister to interfere in police probes.
