Since the beginning of the year, Brazil has recorded 3,062,181 probable cases of dengue fever, nearly doubling last year's total of 1.6 million cases.

There have been 1,256 confirmed deaths from dengue nationwide, with an additional 1,857 deaths currently under investigation.

The Ministry of Health released these figures on Wednesday (Apr. 10) via the Arbovirus Monitoring Panel.

According to the ministry, out of Brazil's 27 states, nine exhibit a consistent decline in dengue cases, while another 13 maintain a stable trend. The remaining states continue to experience an increase in the number of cases.
